About Tisno

Tisno is located on the Adriatic coast in the heart of Dalmatia, on a narrow strait between the mainland and the island Murter. This is an ideal location with Vransko Jezero (Lake Vrana) and 3 national parks (Krka, Kornati and Plitvice) at a near distance to the campsite, whether for relaxing walks through unpolluted nature, hiking tours or exploring the coast and islands by boat. Tisno is surrounded by beautiful islands, just to name the most famous ones: Murter and the national park Kornati, the majestic mountain massifs Velebit and Dinara together with crystal clear rivers Krka and Cetina in the hinterland.

In the neighbouring Šibenik, visit the famous Cathedral of St. James (katedrala Sv. Jakova) which is protected by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site since 2000.

Beaches

Tisno and its neighbouring island Murter are hosting some of the most beautiful beaches on this side of the Adriatic Sea.

Tisno beach
The family-friendly Tisno beach is covered in pebble stones and provides a sport playground for children.

Slanica beach
On Murter, Slanica is definitely worth visiting. Turquoise water and a sandy beach surrounded by pines are the ingredients for an easy-going and fun stay on the beach for the whole family. A water slide and a playground will amuse your kids while you can relax and refresh in one of the beach bars.

Lovišća beach
Lovišća, Jezera is also located on Murter. It has plenty of shade with a concrete ground and a gravel beach. A children’s playground and a sports ground offer fun and recreation for the younger ones.

Sites of nature

The Kornati national park is an archipelago of breath-taking beauty. Enjoy on a boat tour in the midst of 89 islands, islets and reefs, set in a magnificent panorama.

In the hinterlands of the Šibenik-Knin County, the national park “Krka” awaits you with the karst river Krka and its 7 travertine waterfalls. The very fragile formations of karst layers are highly sensitive to environmental change and all human activities, as only continuous pyogenic growth of travertine ensures the waterfalls survival.

Vransko Jezero is Croatia’s largest lake and holds the status of a nature park. It provides a natural environment for water birds and its enormous biodiversity. The panorama view from “Vidikovac” is stunning. Also, biking is possible in the park.

Telašćica is a nature park located on the south eastern part of the Dugi Otok island. 13 islands, islets and rocks dipped into the blue sea sublime into 75km2 of natural harmony.
